A couple weekends ago, I got to compose for 2 short films made during the New York 48 Hour Film Project. While I’m used to the time constraint from game jamming, the environment and interactions with my teams were way different. The best part about actually being in NY for the weekend (and not participating remotely) was the same as it would be had it been a game jam: being part of the whole process, from before we even knew our criteria to after rendering/file dropoff. Both films – “Trophy Wife” with Pictish Productions and “Post No Bills” with Team Rag Tag – had their premiere screenings last weekend. Though we got a positive response from the audience, neither won an audience award. However, Post No Bills made it into the “Best of New York” screening this Friday! Come check it out!
